Maternity: the anticipation
A maternity session centres on pregnancy. You might want individual portraits, a photograph with your partner or moments with older children. Look through the maternity portfolio for examples of simple backgrounds, expressive lighting and more elaborate artistic compositions.
When you inquire, share your expected due date and preferred timing. The date, styling and setup should be agreed individually.
Newborn: a new relationship
Newborn photographs can focus on the baby or include the people getting to know them. A parent’s hands, an embrace and a shared portrait may each tell a different part of the beginning.
Share your baby’s age or expected arrival date and ask how your family can be included. The newborn portfolio shows Lidi’s work; it does not replace a conversation about the arrangements for your own baby.
Family: the people together
A family session starts with the relationships you want to hold onto. It can mark a new stage or simply bring everyone into the frame. Think about which combinations matter to you, from the whole family to smaller groups.
For an at-home session in Anchorage, discuss the space and the ages of the participants, along with your ideas for the photographs.
Ask what the collection includes
Before booking any session, confirm the price, number of photographs, selection process, delivery timing and any printed products or extras. If you are considering more than one session, ask about the current options rather than assuming a bundle is available.
You do not have to arrive with a complete visual plan. A few photographs you like and a clear idea of who you want included are enough to begin the discussion.
